My name is Alex Beckstrand. I started Legacies of Service I ventured to research my own family.  I realized that many of the notions people have about their loved one's service may not be all that they seem, as was the case with my grandfather's time during World War II. 

 

As I started additional research on behalf of my wife's family, I discovered that other people simply do not know what their loved one did as part of their wartime experiences.  I used my own military expertise, gained from my time in the military, and my historical prowess to navigate archives and put information into historical context.  It dawned on me that I was uniquely qualified to go above and beyond the typical services provided by independent researchers.
